Who’s behind it
Hi, I’m Dor. I’m a software engineer by trade, and I’ve always liked building things and watching them come together. Parallax Kit started as something I wanted to fiddle with myself: a picture you put together piece by piece at the table, then hang on the wall, where it looks a little different from every angle. I draw the designs, print every piece, sort the pegs and pack each kit here in Barcelona. If it grows into a small business along the way, all the better.
How a kit is made
-
Split into layers
Every design starts as a drawing. We split it into layers, one for each depth, and decide where every piece sits.
-
One piece per colour
Each colour is printed as its own piece, from its own filament. The colour goes all the way through, so nothing needs painting.
-
Pegs set the depth
Pegs of different lengths hold each layer at its own distance from the backplate. Nothing is glued: every piece presses on and stays put.
-
Sorted and boxed
We sort the pegs, number every piece and pack the kit with its printed guide. Everything you need is in the box.
The activity
The point is the evening at the table: the pieces spread out, the guide open, and the picture appearing layer by layer as you go. Afterwards it hangs on your wall, and you know how every piece got there.
